Power is brought to the track via an 18" Power Section.
Each lane power rail set is hardwired to a terminal block. The termainal block is then wired to the controller panel and power supply. This makes for a 2 wire per lane hookup and allows for the most versatility for your desired track wiring scheme.
Lap counter sections are also made on an 18" straight.
We can make 2 different styles of lap counter sections. The most popular is the "dead" section which is a 4" long isolated section made within an 18" straight.
The other type of lap counter section is the reed switch. Here 2 pockets are milled on the inside of each power rail to accept the reed switches.
The "dead" section will work with all cars where the reed switches work best with traction magnet cars.
A 3rd type of lap counter section uses a light bridge over the track and sensors drilled and mounted next to the power rails. For this type of lap counter, we leave the installation of the sensors for you to install.
